Codex Alimentarius - never heard of it? That's because the faceless, un-elected international bureaucrats behind it don't want you to - and because a compliant corporate-owned media won't tell you about this obscure trade commission.  Codex is a stealthy, anti-democratic attempt to make Big-Pharma-friendly international trade rules trump existing US laws which protect our health and our freedom of nutritional choice. Big Agro, Big Chema, Big BioTech and Big Medica are in on it, too. Codex would actually criminalize vitamin C and other common nutritional supplements, making them as illegal to possess as heroin or cocaine. Codex would also make mandatory inoculation of all the world's animals with growth hormones and antibiotics, as well as irradiation of all foods not consumed locally and raw.  UN agency studies indicate that if the proposed Codex Vitamin and Mineral Guideline, or VMG, is allowed to go into global effect, a minimum of 1 billion people can be expected to die from simple starvation. Another minimum of 2 billion people can be expected to die of the chronic diseases of toxicity and under-nutrition which the VMG seeks to institutionalize.
